Cornhole Rules
1. Boards will be placed 27 feet apart from the front edge of each board.
2. Teams consist of two players who must stay for the whole tournament. Subs are not allowed once the tournament starts; participants can only be on one team.
3. Players must stay behind the front edge of the board when throwing a bag. If they go past the front edge, the bag thrown will not count.
4. Players must throw the bag underhand. If the bag is thrown overhand, the throw will not count. Players must throw all four bags during their turn, and they will alternate throwing bags.
5. A coin toss will be conducted before each game to see which team throws first.
6. Each game will go to at least 21 points. You can go over 21 points and not be penalized. If your team doesn’t score a point and your opponent scores 11 or more, that is a skunk, and the game is over.
7. Scoring will be 1 point on the board and 3 points in the hole. This tournament will follow cancellation scoring. For example, if Team A has 4 points on the board and Team B has 3 points, Team A will be awarded 1 point.
8. A team starts the following throwing sequence when scoring points.
9. If a bag is thrown and hits the ground first, allowing it to bounce up on the board, it will not count. The bag will be removed from the board.
10. If there is a protest or discrepancy, the tournament coordinator will rule on it. The tournament coordinator’s ruling is final.
